The company Gebrüder Kuhn GmbH & Co. KG has been a high-performance gemstone cutting company with the highest quality standards for generations. As a supplier to many renowned jewelry manufacturers of gold, silver and stainless steel jewelry, the company has been a reliable and competent partner at home and abroad since it was founded by Ernst and Emil Kuhn in 1953.

The company's founder, Emil Kuhn, whose ancestors had been plying their trade in Wasserschleifen since at least 1875, initially worked with two employees in a small grinding shop with traditional equipment, where craftsmanship was the only thing that counted

1954

Emil Kuhn's son Günter joins the company

1980

Günter Kuhn has managed the company as a sole proprietorship for decades. In the same year, daughter Susanne became the third generation to start her training at Gebrüder Kuhn.

The company owes the development of state-of-the-art grinding machines with innovative technology to Günter Kuhn's intensive commitment and tireless efforts. CNC-controlled and other partially and fully automated special machines enable high-precision work as well as versatile cuts and surface structures for large and small series

1992

Daughter Sabine Herbert begins her career in the company after a career as a key export account in the Rheingau. At the same time, Michael Schuler started his professional career at Gebrüder Kuhn after his time as a professional soldier in the Bundeswehr

1994

First expansion of the production facility

2004

Susanne Schuler and Sabine Herbert as well as Michael Schuler become partners in Gebrüder Kuhn GmbH & Co. KG. Michael Schuler takes over production management

2009

The two daughters Susanne Schuler and Sabine Herbert take over management. The company employs around 20 people. Günter Kuhn remains a partner and advisor to the company

2013

Tobias Schuler entered production - after completing his apprenticeship at Fissler and working as an industrial mechanic for several years. The company now employs around 30 people. The 4th generation is joining the company for the first time

2014

Second expansion of the production facility and expansion of the office building

2022

Sebastian Schuler joins the management as a consultant. After working in the automotive industry in the area of IT consulting, Sebastian is moving back home from Stuttgart. His brother Tobias Schuler is now acting as co-production manager alongside his father Michael Schuler

2021-2023

New construction and move into an additional production hall on site as well as expanded storage options. There are currently around 50 employees at Gebrüder Kuhn
